If you study the medical caduceus symbol deeply, you can see that it represents the inner path of the sacred fires latent in every person. The central line is equivalent to the middle energy meridian passing through the central axis of the body. They intersecting snakes represent the masculine and feminine equivalent forces and the meridians traversing through the different roots of the chakras going upwards to the Crown Center.

The wings on the top of the caduceus are the symbol of the faculty of intuition and higher expansion when the kundalini is able to reach to the Egoic Center or higher. The rounded top of the caduceus is equivalent to the seed of consciousness seated at the Egoic Center.

Once meditators understand this universal symbol, the spiritual practitioner or yogi can achieve greater heights of experience and inner powers development. Ancient Sages and Enlightened Beings have used this knowledge to develop techniques to harness the sacred fires and develop the inner powers in all the energy bodies and centers.

The story of Prince Charming kissing and awakening Sleeping Beauty is a great fairy tale to illustrate the inner meaning of how to awaken your kundalini, sometimes called the sleeping serpent or dragon in wisdom teachings. Prince Charming is the Divine Light from the Soul and Sleeping Beauty is the dormant energy (in most people at their current level of development) at an area slightly above the Perineum. This energy currently (as of 2006) moves upward with a spiral action in human beings.

There are three major ascending paths of the kundalini fire or substance in the energy bodies.

  1. The middle path or central axis called the Sushumna in yoga

  2. The active force or masculine aspect expressed as pingala. This is the path of the sacred fire that is affected by right-nostril breathing techniques in yoga.

  3. The passive force or feminine aspect is expressed as ida. This is the path that is affected by left-nostril breathing techniques in yoga.

Advanced yogis and Sages have found that these two flowing forces or meridians (called ida and pingala) can be balanced by breathing through the left and right nostrils. The kundalini naturally flows outward.

The current configuration of the kundalini and its path were validated as of 2000 to 2006, but it has been observed by esoterically trained modern clairvoyants that features and patterns of flow are being altered, especially in more advanced people.

Once the sacred fire of the kundalini circulates outward, it enlivens and fertilizes all the centers and their psychological as well as spiritual powers. This is what advanced meditators and yogis are technically doing when meditating to achieve greater inner powers and advanced faculties. Even without formal schooling, their faculties of wisdom and higher qualities are developed.
