Did you know that there are 2 aspects of the Golden Rule?

1) Passive: Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do to you.

This will help guide people with what not to violate against others. Use this rule to validate and test the fairness of your decisions. This is a principle of abstinence or subtraction of negative tendencies.

2) Active: Do to others what you want others to do to you.

This is a tool to be fair in implementing actions or solutions to problems. It is a reminder to take action to do good or express the right solutions to solve problems. It is a reminder to take active roles, to implement positive steps and to express virtues rather than just a mere abstinence from negativity.

These two aspects of the Golden Rule as taught Confucius, and the Law of Karma when applied can help solve even the biggest world problems or crises in humanity from the past, in the present and future. Some problems might take longer to solve when applying these rules and principles, but the solutions are more permanent and result in a fair or win-win process for all parties concerned.

As with almost anything in nature, there are exceptions to the rules when they are misinterpreted or applied incorrectly. There are universal subsidiary laws and principles to be employed along with the Golden Rule and Law of Karma for them to be a complete guide for one's life.
